Street performers take it upon themselves to instill a little culture into what may ordinarily be a non exciting day for you and I.

All they ask for in return is a little appreciation for what can be a death defying performance or a pure classical recital - but what does it take to stop a hardened office worker determined to get to their long awaited coffee stop at the local Campos or Gloria Jeans?

Well fortunately in Sydney - not much.

We experience a wealth of street culture every day in Sydney and it is encouraging to observe that it does not go unappreciated, the dynamic street performer successful in their routine is effervescent, comedic, fun, skilled and openly entertaining - demonstrating a depth in street culture that's widely accepted and most of all appreciated by Sydney's cultured public.

Many a stretched out coffee break has been because we have experienced an amazing performance we simply could not walk past.

Luckily as yet the councils have not felt the need to licence such performances, and rightly so, let them continue to bring a little entertainment to the eyes and ears of the appreciative Sydney public.
